“I am deeply passionate about what I do.”
Why did you become a therapist?
My journey to becoming a therapist began with my own mental health journey. Through my own experiences, I discovered the profound impact that being truly seen, understood, and supported can have. I learned that healing isn't about becoming someone different, it's about developing a deeper understanding of yourself and finding the courage to grow through life's challenges.
What do you genuinely love about this work?
I love witnessing the moments when something shifts, when a client begins to see themselves with more compassion, recognizes a pattern that no longer serves them, or starts trusting themselves in a way they never have before.
One of my favorite parts of therapy is that it's a collaboration. We bring different perspectives into the room. My role isn't to tell you who you are or what you should do.
My role is to offer curiosity, knowledge, and a different lens while honoring that you are the expert on your own life. Together, we explore what's getting in the way, make sense of your experiences, and discover what healing can look like for you.
Every person who walks through my door teaches me something. It is an incredible privilege to be trusted with someone's story, and I never take that for granted.
"I believe every person has an innate capacity
for healing."
What keeps inspiring you to continue learning?
The more I learn, the more I appreciate how unique every person's healing journey is. There isn't one approach that works for everyone because no two people have lived the same life.
I'm passionate about continuing to grow because I want to bring my clients the best of both worlds—evidence-based practices and a deeply personalized approach. I love learning about attachment, trauma, the nervous system, relationships, and the ways our past continues to influence our present. Every new perspective gives me another way to help clients better understand themselves.
What do you hope every client feels after a session?
More than anything, I hope you leave feeling understood, not judged, analyzed, or "fixed," but genuinely seen. I hope you leave with a little more clarity, a little more self-compassion, and a greater sense that you don't have to navigate life's challenges alone. Sometimes that means leaving with new insight. Other times it means leaving with more questions than answers, but feeling safe enough to keep exploring them.
My Journey
Healing isn't about becoming someone different, it's about developing a deeper understanding of yourself.
I received my BA in Psychology from U.C. Davis and my MS in Counseling Psychology from Cal State East Bay.
My Approach
My approach is collaborative, insight-oriented, and tailored to you. Rather than relying on a single method, I thoughtfully integrate evidence-based approaches based on your unique needs, experiences, and goals. My focus is always the same: helping you better understand yourself so meaningful, lasting change becomes possible.
I may integrate psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness-based, and EMDR approaches to help clients better understand themselves, process difficult experiences, and create meaningful, lasting change.
I specialize in working with trauma, relationship challenges, betrayal, codependency, anxiety, grief, and emotional patterns that impact connection and wellbeing.
Because every person and relationship is different, therapy should never feel one-size-fits-all. I believe the therapeutic process should be personalized, thoughtful, and responsive to where you are and what you need.
