“I am deeply passionate about what I do.”
I received my BA in Psychology from U.C. Davis and my MS in Counseling Psychology from Cal State East Bay.
My work supporting others began in 1994 as a high school counselor, where I developed a deep passion for helping individuals navigate difficult life experiences and emotional challenges. After relocating to San Diego, I spent several years raising my children while continuing to stay involved in the health and wellness field through volunteer work and community support.
In 2009, I began the path toward becoming a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist—a decision that ultimately brought together my passion for human connection, emotional healing, and personal growth.
Over the years, I have pursued extensive training in CBT, DBT, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and EMDR therapy, with a continued focus on understanding and healing trauma. I remain deeply committed to ongoing learning and expanding my knowledge so I can better support clients in creating meaningful and lasting change.
My Journey
My Approach
My approach to therapy is insight-oriented, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s unique needs and experiences. I integrate psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness-based, and EMDR approaches to help clients better understand themselves, process difficult experiences, and create meaningful, lasting change.
I specialize in working with trauma, relationship challenges, betrayal, codependency, anxiety, grief, and emotional patterns that impact connection and wellbeing.
Because every person and relationship is different, therapy should never feel one-size-fits-all. I believe the therapeutic process should be personalized, thoughtful, and responsive to where you are and what you need.
